This week will be all about tiling and hopefully by the end of the week most of the work in the kitchen will be finished. Got up early to wave Angelique off on her way to Grahamstown in misty and drizzly conditions. Quick breakfast and hop on the bicycle for a quick 24 km spin. Of course no sooner were we on our way or the drizzle turned to rain, quite enjoyable actually as it wasn’t cold at all. Then off to Tap and Tile for all the tiling paraphernalia, had to be back soon for another prospective tenant, lunch and then got stuck in:
As you can see, great care was taken with the levelling and the spacing, whole tiles go quite quickly but cutting and fitting is a pain. Nevertheless good progress was made, there was even time to fool with the photographer:
She doesn’t know it yet but lots of grouting in the pipeline for her.
