Namur

Today I am the culprit, diligently packed the camera into the backpack only to leave the backpack in Theo’s garage so again no pics.

Today the first priority was to get some new shorts for us as the current ones were first of all quite worn by being into contact with a saddle for 51 days and also now a few sizes too big as our waistline has shrunk. Rita sent us off to Stock Americain, a surplus store nearby and, apart from having lots of interesting diy stuff for me also had the perfect pair for me but none for Ellie

Theo was still finishing off the gathering of the hay and making a silo with fodder for the cows so on this cold, overcast day so we only got going after lunch, our destination Namur, quite a large town nearby with a history going back to Roman times but the most interesting building being the citadel, the ancient fort on top of the hill overlooking the confluence of the rivers Meuse and Sambre. Due to the unfriendly weather there were hardly any tourists and most of the attractions were closed. At least we managed to get shorts for Ellie and some lightweight cutlery at last.
