Maredsous

Wednesday. June 16, 2010

Perhaps the interest has waned, perhaps it is my writing but I notice that the novelty has worn off and that I get very few comments anymore and as a consequence the drive to update the blog every day is also not quite there. It is, of course, also easier to blog when it is just the two of us instead of being distracted by relatives and in no small measure by these World Cup Soccer games every day. In the next few entries I’ll try and catch up again.

In the morning I slept late while the ladies went off to do some clothes shopping and Ellie came back very happy with new pants, top and shawl. Theo was helping his son, Michelle, harvesting hay for the cows.

In the afternoon Rita took us to a nearby abbey, Maredsous, an interesting collection of buildings and still has brothers in residence. From there we went for a lovely walk in the forest, returning on one of the ravels or walking/cycling paths along a disused railway. Unfortunately, Ellie had forgotten to take the camera, no pictures again.
