Final day of our “Tour De France”, the last bit to my sister, Rita and her husband Theo. I had hoped for an easy, comfortable ride, ha, anything but. A strong wind blew from the north-east and guess which way we were cycling? On top of it there was some bickering about the route we were taking and the quick succession of ups and downs did nothing to lighten the mood. In short, it was one of those heads down and grind it out days or, as we say in hiking, character building days. Fortunately after half way it got a bit flatter and, even though I didn’t like the major road with the big trucks one bit, we managed to arrive at our destination one hour earlier than expected just as Theo arrived to welcome us.

First day we didn’t take any pictures.
