We changed our mind and rather than taking the direct train to Basel do the scenic route via Zurich and were pleasantly surprised that it was absolutely no problem. We were treated to some typical postcard scenes.
In Zurich we had lunch in the park, wanted to go to the museum, was closed so the best we could do is look at some outside features including this princess and her carriage. Just wonder where her servants to carry her luggage were.
Caught our connection to Basel and then worked out which tram to take to our campsite. Fortunately I had worked out the waypoint because it would have been quite difficult to find. They had a special patch for tourers and we had some nice chats, first to a German solo cyclist who had way too much luggage and then to a Dutch couple who wanted to cycle to Italy with their young son but unfortunately the wife had gotten sick.
