The plan, well, my plan, was to take it easy but arm got twisted to climb to the top of the hill behind the campsite.
First we had to walk through the streets of the suburb to the start of the path and encountered this lovely cart and horse combo.
Soon we got into the forest though and the meandering path went up and up through the trees.
Nearly at the top we were surprised by a sudden thundershower complete with hail. In good mountain club tradition we were prepared though and had our raingear with us and found some shelter and sat it out. When the downpour was over we decided that the sensible thing to do was to return via a different route and were rewarded with some great views of the valley below, including our campsite.
