Lidy, my eldest sister, lives nearby but not so nearby that it is easy to get there and back by bicycle so she kindly offered to fetch us and she also insisted we spend the night. We first had a look at their old farm, quite a bit has changed since they retired 23 years ago and even more since I last saw it. Still, a lot of childhood memories came back, not least the climbing of the old minedump at the back, even when I was ten hills and mountains must have had a fascination for me.
After lunch we went and fed the cats at Marga, her daughter’s place. She is on holiday in the Provence, France and just after they left their house was broken into so Lidy was glad we were with her. Here we are admiring the back garden.
In the late afternoon we enjoyed the garden and snapped lots of photographs and, lest I forget, chatted and chatted (Lidy and Ellie that is)
