Similar to yesterday, cold and wet, so not much of an incentive to go explore the surroundings. Did go to the local church service though, very friendly lot, perhaps they thought we were potential parishioners as it looked like they could do with a few. Back home Ellie scraped together the ingredients to bake a cake for father’s day, turned out more of a pudding than a cake but still very tasty. After lunch ventured out in the freezing cold and did a 25 km exploration of the hills around Fosses-La_Ville which I didn’t enjoy much, first time in the saddle after France and I could have done without the climbs, fortunately there was a stretch along the Sambre as well.
Back home skyped the kids which was great to get up to date with what is happening in their lives.
