We wanted to ride a cable car today and combine it with a decent hike so we chose Murren as our destination. It is becoming a bit of a routine now, bus to Interlaken Ost train station and from there the local train to Lauterbrunnen or some other destination at the foot of the Eiger, Munch, Jungfrau mountain range. Here you see the cable way behind the station.
As you can see the there are a multitude of paths to choose from, all very well signposted, even we can’t get lost.
Here at some altitude is was cooler and nice to walk, on the way we admire the construction of the alpine log cabins and the intricate woodwork although this one has seen better days (the cabin I mean lol)
We also discover a clump of edelweiss, not quite in the wilds but hey, edelweiss none the less.
The scenery is outstanding which makes the walk a pleasure, we are sorry that it is already time to return to camp.
