Joburg airport

Well, we took 4 hours to cover the first 15 kms as the BA plane was delayed by two hours and we were early. Of course all it meant is that the wait here is shorter, boarding in 45 mins time. Checking in was a breeze, did not do difficult about the bicycles at all and weight was also not a problem. Already seen and spoken to some interesting people.

Passport control also went smoothly, I forgot to give them SA id so got barked at but when I produced them it was stamp, stamp and off we went.

Of course the duty free shops here are generally a rip off, a term I probably will be using quite frequently before I get used to Euro type prices. R65 for two cups of coffee and 500ml of water. Flippin’ hot here in the coffee bar, it will be quite an adjustment when landing in Amsterdam.

Now buying some more water for in the plane and then it will be a long sit till Cairo.
