Not much to report today really, started off on a good breakfast of fried eggs then got into cycling gear and thanks to the really useful www.windguru.com decided to do the Maitland circuit anticlockwise so we had the breeze in our backs all the way from Maitland to Mount Pleasant. I don’t know if it was because of that or because we are supposedly getting fitter but we matched our previous average of 21.4 over the 53 kilometers. I know, I know, not exactly Tour De France figures but respectable for our age and our touring bikes.
We are quite happy with our progress, the only problem is that to improve further we need to do longer rides and that takes more time, something we don’t have all that much of with all the other things to take care of. I am delighted though that our car has found a home while we are away.
Now for a pleasant evening and then we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
