Well, this Presque Ile is quite the beautifullest (how’s that for good English) bit of Brittany we have seen so far. This inspired us to do the loop to the northern Cap, the Cap de Portugese.
Before we set out we had a chat to our neighbours, a delightful young French couple who spoke surprisingly good English. We had both remarked the night before how ‘together’ they looked and when she came to ask us if she could borrow a teabag (did she expect to have to give it back?) we started chatting and, like most French people we talk to, found us very “courageux” I must really look that word up because I have a sneaky feeling it means a little more than full of courage, probably foolhardy is a better word. I meant to tell the boyfriend that he should really thank his lucky stars to have such a beautiful girlfriend , both inside and out but forgot in the process of giving him my blog address so I hope he looks at this entry and takes it to heart.
The scenery made us very snap happy so here is a very small sample of the pictures we took
The previous night I also got attacked by a lady wielding some shears, I hope the result is to Stuart’s liking 🙂
After our trip around the peninsula we went in search for a restaurant serving mussels, alas no luck at the place where we planned to camp so we trekked right across to the other side to Saint Nic only to find that the restaurant there also didn’t have mussels so we had beer instead and a packet of “slap” chips.
For a change the camping was right next to the restaurant and as luck would have it we chose a site right next to a distribution panel so guess what, all batteries, cellphones, netbook got charged, the only problem we have now is that we are running out of movies to watch and it being light till at least 10:30 we’ll have to find some other form of entertainment.
