Brugge

The target today was the Belgian town of Brugge with its well preserved middle age buildings, churches and forts.

We saw an appropriate advert for a belgian beer (zot=fool=jester)

and sampled some

Many churches were visited, not sure who is the holy one here 🙂

The day was not done though as on the way back we visited one of my sisters, Annie, near Maldegem for coffee and cake and chocolates, raced home and were on our way again with the local gardening club to a lecture near Gent how to garden and cook with herbs, most interesting, see www.kruidjes.be and on the way back stopped at an old schoolfriends home (Ettiene Termont) for a nightcap and got home in the wee hours of the morning.
